Hi Mickey, thanks. I just put Hudson, now 11, on the bus, then read your comment. Brought back memories from that very first day. 🙂 Since I wrote this post, Hudson has been diagnosed with autism, which is a crazy combo diagnosis, along with the Down syndrome. While he’s still non-verbal and incontinent, he has grown in so many other ways. Grateful for every day and each milestone. Have a beautiful day, thanks for dropping by.

Such a good story. It is important for children with disabilities to develop that independence and self reliance. He can be okay in the world, even if you are not with him every second of the day. And now, he feels that too.
