Hey Allie, the icicles hanging from the roof reminded me of the huge ones we had on our house back in Rochester, NY. They were so big and thick and long........sometimes 4-5 feet. When they would come crashing down it was frightening. My father would block off that side of the house so that no one would walk out there and get knocked out. Then when it would start to thaw, all those icicles dripping would cause flooding in our basement. My Dad had a through along that side of the house in he basement and we would take turns bailing out the trough so it would not run over and flood the basement and ruin Christmas decorations, etc. Winters were not easy and I'm so glad to be here in the South, but DO ENJOY your snow pictures so much because they remind me of home. <3

We're going to have to try making that arched doorway in the woodpile next year! Know anyone who could help?
