These owls are beyond cute! I didn’t know that a group of owls is called a parliament, good to learn something new. 🙂 I read the Chronicles of Narnia a couple of times but I don’t remebemer it… Have to read them again.

Allie I sure hope you got your tree and are out of Limbo now… cos guess what??? 21 more days until Christmas Eve!!! AAAAHHHHHH!!! I haven’t done anything this year – I made a few cookies and thats it…I need to make edible presents and buy presents and send out cards and I have been in Limbo in that department as we might be moving again! While I wait on underwriting to give me news, I need chocolate in my life – especially salty sweet chocolate concoctions like these owls! Which, to me, are not only adorable but so sassy! I can imagine these being a crowd favorite! I so cannot wait to try these – I might just add them to the edible gift list! Thanks frind – hoping you are doing well! xoxo

That Lukie. He’s so smart. Around here, we would say wicked smahhht!!!! Ha ha. Tell him that and see what he says. I’m glad you appreciate that sentence, I got a kick writing it – I played with it for a while. The Merckens discs I buy at our local candy store, Eaton’s. It’s about ten minutes away, just over the Manchester line in Hooksett. I can buy the Merckens discs there for $8.99 for two pounds. I just checked and you can also buy them online through Amazon. I saw it in 10 lb. and 2 lb. bags just at quick glance. It just really melts well and has a great flavor, better than the Wilton ones I think. Especially the chocolate flavors. I also bought the candy eyes at that little shop – they make them there by hand. They also have cake decorating classes and gingerbread house decorating and all kinds of other FUN things we’d both enjoy. Thanks for dropping by Christy, I always love hearing from you. XO

Of course I had to read this post to my 9 year old who was introduced to alliteration just last week! So I read him this line, “Meanwhile, my mini pumpkins sit mutely on the mantel, all in a row,” thinking he would get a kick out of the rhyming words. He started to laugh and says, “Do you know why she said that about the pumpkins? She’s making a joke about being in Thanksgiving when others are in Christmas!” So much for my alliteration lesson. Do you purchase Merkels discs locally? Not sure I’ve sen it at Michaels. Imagine it’s on Amazon! Thanks for the tip on the candy dipping fork. That’s a cool tool!
