What a great story! How thoughtful of your friend to pass it along -
and generous! It would be kind of hard to part with such a find! Lol. Thrift shopping is such fun, I used to do it all of the time and found amazing things. I might be inspired to go again, soon, thanks to your cup. We don't have Savers, but we have plenty of others. Yes, I know we'd have a lovely time, you and I, sitting with some hot drinks on a cold day. ? Enjoy the rest of the week. Xo

Thank you Carina, I know we would enjoy a hot cup of this together, looking out from the warm on a snowy winter scene, right? :) There is a story behind this mug. A dear friend of mine was in a local store last week, Savers. It's a second hand shop kind of like Goodwill - not sure if you have them there. She saw this mug in a stack- it was obviously handmade and had a letter carved in the bottom - a T. Well her name is Tracy, but she said she immediately thought of ME. So for 99 cents she picked up this treasure and delivered it right to my doorstep last week, just in time for me to photograph this post. I love it! The shape is lovely, the handle fits perfectly in your hand, and it holds a lot of hot drink! I love the glazing, so glad you do too, and thankful Tracy picked it up for me! It was the perfect vessel for this cardamom chai tea. I hope you have a wonderful week Carina, stay warm if you can!!! XO

Cardamom chai with honey? This pretty blue cup is calling my name, Allie. Love that you added silk cashewmilk, I am sure it must have added so much flavor to this aromatic cup of winter goodness. Winter here is at its peak as well, so I can't wait to grab that cuppa and enjoy cold. Loved reading about your childhood memories. Have a lovely week my friend. :)

Yummy, now I have a serious craving for that Silk Milk! That cup is gorgeous, by the way, I just love its shape and the glazes on it. Your childhood sounds magical - tobogganing, skating with such ease on the many hectares that surrounded you and your neighbours. Thanks for sharing, Allie, I really enjoyed the post. Xoxo

I totally hear ya about needing warm drinks to keep us going through these cold Northeastern winters! Although I have to admit that your story about toboggan'ing reminded me a bit of my childhood. Fun times! I do love a good chai tea latte, and I totally need to try this version out. Thanks for sharing! #client
