Allie, this looks absolutely scrumptious! We love French onion soup at my house. I bet the apple cider gives it a nice flavor and a little kick. Can’t wait to try it!!

Oh my! This soup looks wonderful, Allie! Perfect for winter… comforting and so elegant. I had to laugh at the memtal image of you wearing ski goggles as you nonchalantly chop your onions and your boys pass by without even noticing anymore. Lol! Snow storms can be kind of exciting! How lucky that you guys get snow days. Here in Wpg, most school divisions have the idea to not cancel school under ANY circumstances. So there is maybe one snowday each century… (and you recently read about the one we got last century. Hmmm… that makes me sound more ancient than I am! Haha!) Anyhow, thanks for this recipe. I love first few days of Snow and I don’t mind staying at home and enjoying like the boys did. Love this sweet version of Apple Cider Caramelized Onion Soup. So much yes to this absolutely delicious looking ooey gooey cheesy soup.

Hahah Oh Allie – am sitting here with a picture of you in your ski goggles chopping onions in your kitchen! I think I prefer your “onion goggles” to those WS ones! I have contacts on most times and they seem to work too – so weird – but when I don’t I need to go find my daughters swim goggles (no ski goggles here) and use them! Btw – my daughter LOVES being snowed in so she can sleep in late, read, play board games, watch movies and eat ALL the soup – especially when it’s topped with bubbly cheddar! I’ve never had French onion soup with apple cider before and now I’ve gotta try this – thanks so much for sharing sweet friend! Hope y’all stay warm and safe with through that storm!
