I can understand the emotional shock and heartbreak you must have experienced at that moment. That little heart and soul belongs to you and you alone; I can’t quite express it, but I know how it feels. For one moment it is as though time stands still and even breathing ceases. So happy the real connection was just a brief moment away.

I tell you, Allie, you can bring tears to my eyes in a split second. I was reading this out loud to Jac and had to stop or I’d just absolutely lose it! What a precious, precious moment to feel and realize that love welling up in your heart, knowing just how much you love being Hudson’s momma. I think, even though he didn’t realize at the time that the other lady wasn’t his mom, just to know that that is how he thinks of you–the anticipation, the love, the smile–is precious in and of itself to see it from afar. What a love that boy is!!

What a precious story. Those feelings of love are so strong and special. Motherhood. Wouldn’t trade if for the world.
Reading the synopsis of “Are You My Mother” made me remember how much I loved reading children’s books to my boys. Some of my favorite memories.

What a sweet story! I love Hudson! He is a precious boy. I am envious of those bear hugs you get from those little arms! I get hugs but from all big arms now 😉 Allie that was one of our family favorite books too! Thank you for this sweet story!
